Shedding Light

One can have the clearest of vision yet still be blind-sided.

In these photographs depicting blindfolded individuals, sight becomes a metaphor for awareness. The individuals act as if they see yet they are blind to the changing world and all its ramifications, be they social, political or personal. With accompanying Brailled texts and prints, the series challenges the viewer to answer the question. "Will sight provide the solution?" For when we pull off the wool will we not see our own hands in the knitting?
